Those two are my least favorite then, I like the ones you did in Gimp much better. I've a feeling you were using filters to texturize though. I never like the way Photoshop does that. The best way to texturize in Photoshop is to use an image overlay. Which is more advanced, probably. I've never used Gimp but it seems to put out some pretty nice results for people who are just beginning to make graphics...which makes me think maybe it's a bit more user friendly to start out on
I think you can do just as much with gimp as you can with photoshop, but it is done in different ways... So you like the Call of Duty one and the Sweet, but Deadly one?
