I can blast out about 3-5 sigs in an hour or two with Photoshop7 (the best photoshop ever) But I can't, for the life of me, get Gimp down. Gimp is supposedly easier, right. :mvshock:

I have both but I prefer using GIMP. I think it forces me to be a lot more creative with my sigs, having to create most elements from scratch.

Like butty said both have pro's and con's.
I use gimp but I dont have the money for Photoshop. I hope to eventually be using both because I like things you can do in each one.

I have PS C5 and Gimp and I use gimp for simple things like coloring and texturing my graphic novel but I use PS for adding backgrounds and filters and stuff. PS is really hard to use without classes. I can't just stumble around and pick it up as a I go.Comment

Thats a big reason lots of people choose Gimp, free and difficulty of use. Photoshop is much better once you learn the shortcuts and how to use everything available in it.<3 my PMS girl Archeai

I like Photoshop. I don't have money for photoshop. Gimp is more difficult to use if you're used to Photoshop...Gimp is easier to use if you're used to MSpaint and such. Just depends on what type of background you're coming from.
I like Gimp because it's free and if you don't have knowledge of Photoshop then it's a pretty advanced program for free.Comment

I like them both, but right now I am using Paint Shop Photo Pro X3 right now. I like them all overall, but they do have there pro's and con's.Comment

I grew up using Photoshop and when I tried to use Gimp I couldn't wrap my head around it. Photoshop is easier for me but gimp can make some signatures just as good as photoshop!Comment
